We help guide people through legal matters and provide referrals and resources where appropriate. Our team is dedicated to making a difference and providing support to those in need. We are committed to standing up for justice and making legal assistance accessible to all. //

La Cosecha Law Center (LCLC) es una organización sin fines de lucro que ofrece recursos legales, referencias y asistencia a individuos y familias en Nueva York. Ayudamos a guiar a las personas a través de asuntos legales y proporcionamos referencias y recursos cuando corresponda. Our Story // Nuestra Historia
In 2020, La Cosecha Community Center opened as a faith-based ministry of La Cosecha Community Church in Hempstead, NY, operating a Legal Navigator Program directed by Attorney Jonathan Cantarero. With the Church's support and the help of many volunteers, the Legal Navigator Program helped dozens of individual and families each year on a variety of legal issues. Because the program was free and entirely self-funded, it was limited in the type and number of cases it could take.

In 2024, Jonathan Cantarero, in partnership with La Cosecha Community Center, founded La Cosecha Law Center as a non-profit offering a wider array of services to the community. La Cosecha Law Center officially launched in January of 2025. //

En 2020, el Centro Comunitario La Cosecha abrió sus puertas con el apoyo del La Iglesia Comunitario La Cosecha, un Programa de Navegador Legal dirigido por el abogado Jonathan Cantarero. Con el apoyo de la Iglesia y la ayuda de muchos voluntarios, el Programa de Navegadores Legales ayudó a docenas de personas y familias cada año en una variedad de asuntos legales. About Our Volunteer Attorney Jonathan Cantarero
Jonathan Cantarero brings nearly a decade of legal experience to his practice to ensure his clients receive the justice they deserve. Jonathan began his career as an appellate attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and New York State Appellate Division, and has extensive civil litigation experience, having represented cancer patients, child abuse survivors, and victims of employment violations.
​Jonathan is also a passionate community advocate and educator. He regularly serves as adjunct professor at the CUNY School of Law and the Spanish Eastern Bible College and has published in the areas of theology, religion, and law. Jonathan previously served as the Volunteer Director of the La Cosecha Community Center's Legal Navigator Program, which helped dozens of individuals and families each year. ​
Jonathan received his B.A. in Philosophy and Religion from SUNY Old Westbury, M.A. in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and J.D. from the CUNY School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York.
